Rain rain go away

I went to Targe' (Target) to get some last minute items for my little man. It wasn't too bad but the rain was causing people to act really...special. And, I do not mean that in a good way. Speeding to get to a parking spot, causing me to almost get hit IN the parking lot...not a good thing at all. I was proud of myself though. I only bought what was needed....which is a pre-new-years resoluton. LOL! I pray that I stick with it. I am still trying to get in the spirit...but this rain is not helping. Sigh...

This has been quite a week for me so far. A lot is going on and it is has been hell on wheels. It doesn't feel like Christmas is this week. I am enjoying just relaxing and spending time with my family. Next week is new years and I am so ready for it. I will not make any promises, resolutions, or any kind of normal expectancies of myself. My promise is to live each day to the fullest and be happy no matter what the circumstances.

Ok, this is pretty bad...birthday has passed and here I am doing the blog thing once again. I had spoken to some friends on twitter that are trying to get back into the blogging thing again. So, I did some updating...changed to a cool pic of my hair, changed the layout...and that's it. LOL! Well, now that I am 30 years old, I have a new outlook on life. School has been a struggle but 2012 will be here before I know it (graduation) and I will be embarking on the career of my dreams. What do you think? Are you embarking on your dreams?

Wow...August 2008 since my last blog ? Pretty bad I know. I have to get back on it. It was a refreshing time for me and it has to be done again. Oh well, let me update on some things...

I am enjoying my new career but it may not possibly be enjoying me pretty soon. Hopefully nothing drastic will happen but I will move on to other endeavors if needed. I have a growing son and I am willing to do whatever it takes...legally...to take care of him and myself. Note I said him and then me...I wish some parents would do that in that order too. Selfish people...BLAH!!

I am trying to get some things taken care of in my life and adapt to new things that should have been adapted almost 30 years ago. Yes, I will be 30 years old in 7 months...I got to get it together...

The A/C blues

Yall, it is too hot out here. Memphis is experiencing heat advisories everyday ! Heat index is 108. My son asked me what were we doing today. I told him ABSOLUTELY nothing. Too hot ! I went to the store to pick up a few things, and when I walked out of the store, walking back to my truck, my shirt was plastered to me as if I had been outside for a long time.I felt so gross and decided that I will not go back outside until the sun is gone. Maybe. Not too sure about getting back outside because Memphis does have humidity. So, when I say I am ready for fall weather...I truly mean it. We need some balance !!! Whew...where is my fan ?

Well, I did it. I didn't think I could hold out this long. But, I did it. I cut my hair off again. And, it is super cute. But, for the first time, I was so scared when I saw how much hair was really gone. I became self conscious. I have never been that way when it comes to my hair. Yes, I am admitting this for the first time. I have gotten plenty of comments such as "I am not surprised" or "You waited this long" or " you are always cutting you hair". But, I actually commented this time, "what the heck where you thinking?". The beauty of all this is that at this time my hair is able to grow pretty quickly so no scissors at this time to maintain. I need a little more hair on my head before I call Edwina Scissorclaws to my head again.

Can I borrow a lung?

This morning, at seven am, friday morning, I went wajogging (yes, that is my word). It was nice, but boy did I feel everything that is out of shape ! My friend, who has been jogging since last October, was way ahead of me. I ,who thought could be a big girl about it, attempted to run with her. That ended after 45 seconds. I couldn't breathe ! So, I didn't stop completely, I walked at a fast past and was breathing through my nose and out of my mouth. My chest was burning. I walked past a neighbor and she said, "your friend left you? Go run some laps around her." I politely asked the lady as I walked through her sprinklers, "no thanks,can I borrow a lung?"

School time is getting close. Whew. Summer has truly flown by! Boy am I glad. LOL ! I have reviewed my son's school supply list and it is very long. Some of the items I buy all the time because it includes kleenex and ziplock bags. But, the other items will have to be bought from other stores. I really wish I could purchase those items online just like the uniforms that I am purchasing. Is that being lazy? Have I become a lazy school shopping mom?

I do not know much about being a self starting blogger, but I think it is a cool thing. I participate in other blogs with other groups and thought to myself hey, I can start my own too.
